Love Without Conditions or Unconditional Love

photo: livinginangst
I love you as you are, as you seek to find your own special way to relate to the world. I honor your choices to learn in the way you feel is right for you. I know it is important that you are the person you want to be and not someone that I or others think you 'should' be.

I realize that I cannot know what is best for you, although perhaps sometimes I think I do. I have not been where you have been, viewing life from the angle you have. I do not know what you have chosen to learn, how you have chosen to learn it, with whom or in what time period. I have not walked life looking through your eyes, so how can I know what you need.

I allow you to be in the world without a thought or word of judgment from me about the deeds you undertake. I see no error in the things you say and do. In this place where I am, I see that there are many ways to perceive and experience the different facets of our world. I allow without reservation the choices you make in each moment. I make no judgment of this, for if I would deny your right to your evolution, then I would deny that right for myself and all others.

To those who would choose a way I cannot walk, whilst I may not choose to add my power and my energy to this way, I will never deny you the gift of love that God has bestowed within me, for all creation. As I love you, so I shall be loved. As I sow, so shall I reap. I allow you the universal right of free will to walk your own path, creating steps or to sit awhile if that is what is right for you. I will make no judgment that these steps are large or small, nor light or heavy or that they lead up or down, for this is just my viewpoint.

I may see you do nothing and judge it to be unworthy and yet it may be that you bring great healing, as you stand blessed by the Light of God. I cannot always see the higher picture of Divine order. For it is the inalienable right of all life to choose their own evolution and with great love I acknowledge your right to determine your future. In humility I bow to the realization that the way I see as best for me does not have to mean it is also right for you. I know that you are led as I am, following the inner excitement to know your own path. I know that the many races, religions, customs, nationalities and beliefs within our world, bring us great richness and allow us the benefit and teachings of such diverseness.

I know we each learn in our own unique way in order to bring that love and wisdom back to the whole. I know that if there were only one way to do something, there would need only be one person. I will not only love you if you behave in a way I think you should or believe in those things I believe in. I understand you are truly my brother and my sister, though you may have been born in a different place and believe in another God than I. The love I feel is for all of God's world. I know that every living thing is a part of God and I feel a love deep within for every person, animal, tree and flower, every bird, insect, river and ocean and for all the creatures in all the world. I live my life in loving service, being the best me I can, becoming wiser in the perfection of Divine truth, becoming happier in the joy of Unconditional Love.

Abundance. Happiness and Humanity

 Day 22

Today's Centering Thought:

“As I elevate my abundance consciousness, I do my part to heal the world.”

Happiness and Humanity

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:
So Hum—I am

“I absolutely agree with Dr. Chopra’s view that ‘if we want to change the world, we have to begin by changing ourselves”
~ His Holiness, the Dalai Lama

Welcome to Day 22, a special, additional day of the Chopra Center 21-Day Meditation Challenge™, Creating Abundance. Today, we will embark on a journey to heal the world.

Throughout our time together, we have explored the concept of abundance in all its forms. In today’s guided meditation, we will elevate our consciousness to share that rich abundance with all of humanity.

Mindful Moment

Reflect on your journey.

Commit to spending time today reflecting on your three-week journey to an abundance consciousness. Celebrate your accomplishment of meditating daily, journaling, and incorporating the daily Mindful Moments into your life. Indulge in a moment of luxury—do something that makes you feel alive, loved, and deeply cherished.

Reflection Questions

In what ways will you live abundantly today?
What would have to happen for you to let go of any belief in scarcity?
What can you contribute to the healing of the world today?

Abundance and Living Luxury

Day 20
Today's Centering Thought:

“Today, I treat myself to moments of luxury.”
Living Luxury

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:
Om Ritam Namah—My actions and desires are supported by cosmic intelligence.

“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive—to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.”
~ Marcus Aurelius

Today, we’ll explore the concept of luxury, adding something to your life that is more than what you consider a necessity.

When you feel worthy of receiving all the good the universe has to offer, your needs are easily met and exceeded. As you learn to accept the grace that is given you, you send a message to the universe that you deserve only the best and are ready to receive it.

Mindful Moment

Make time for a little luxury.

Take some time to do something for yourself that you consider luxurious—take a bubble bath or a long walk, meet a good friend for tea, or lose yourself in a favorite old film. Make this a habit. The more you bring small luxuries into your life, the more you will recognize yourself as a worthy, spiritual being, deserving of love and abundance.

Reflection Questions
How does luxury appear in your life?
What luxurious gifts do you give yourself?
In what ways can you add luxury to the lives of others?

Abundance and Living Love

Today's Centering Thought:

“Today, I remember to love everything and everyone I come in contact with.

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:
Sat, Chit, Ananda—Existence, Consciousness, Bliss
“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
~ Rumi

Today, we’ll look at how, when we live from a state of love, everything good is drawn to us.

Saying “I love you,” is one of the most emotional expressions in any language. However, “I live love,” is seldom used. Yet, living from love is who and what we really are. At the core of your being, you are pure awareness, creativity, spirit, and love. And, when you experience love, you experience yourself as spirit, one who feels—and is—love.

Mindful Moment

Share your love.

Practice living love today by offering a kind word or thought to everyone you meet, recognizing that the greatest gift you can give to anyone is love.

Reflection Questions
When do you feel surrounded by love?
How does being both unconditionally loved and loving make you feel?
How do you show your love to others?

Abundance and Living Unity

Day 18

Living Unity

Today's Centering Thought:

“I celebrate my unity with all life, knowing we are all one.”

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:
Tat Tvam Asi—I see the other in myself and myself
in others.
“There are not more than five musical notes, yet the combinations of these five give rise to more melodies than can ever be heard.”
~ Sun Tzu

In today’s meditation, we will explore unity as the underlying truth of all that is.

As individuals, we look different from one another and have different lifestyles, beliefs, and perceptions. However, these differences exist only on the physical plane. At both the molecular and spiritual levels, we are all one, connected by the universal source.

When we begin to fully understand this concept of living unity, we replace the idea of the personal self with that of the universal self. The notion of competition disappears and leaves in its wake only co-operation. This connection fosters deep love and compassion for everyone and everything around us.

Mindful Moment

Foster interconnectedness.

Be present and genuinely interested in the lives of others when you speak with them today. In your conversations, give your undivided attention and, if you see someone in need, offer your assistance. Fostering these experiences will help you cultivate a deeper understanding of true interconnectedness.

Reflection Questions :
How do you define unity?
How do you view diversity?
In what ways has meditation brought you closer to living unity?

Abundance and Living Carefree

Day 17

Today's Centering Thought:

“I move through my days light-hearted and carefree, knowing all is well.”

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:
Sat, Chit, Ananda—Existence, Consciousness, Bliss

“Do not anticipate trouble or worry about what may never happen. Keep in the sunlight.”
~ Benjamin Franklin

Today, we will look at how we can live carefree—free from judgment and worry, focused on the joy and perfection of what is.

As you grow into present moment awareness through meditation, you realize that in this moment, everything is perfect, just as it should be, and that any concerns you may have are transitory and temporary. You reconnect with your true self and begin to feel more light-hearted. Moving through life, you approach everyday circumstances with humor and can meet the unexpected with calm and ease.

Mindful Moment
Bring in the joy!

Take some time today to reflect on good times, look at old photos, take a leisurely walk, or spend time with someone who warms your heart. Experience the joy of all that you love, including yourself. As a spiritual being, you fear nothing because you know there is nothing to fear, and all that truly exists in the world is love.

Day 13

Today's Centering Thought:

“There is a way I can fulfill my true purpose in life.”

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:

Om Varunam Namah—My life is in harmony with cosmic law.

“Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today, we complete the second week of the Chopra Center 21-Day Meditation Challenge™, Creating Abundance. During this past week, we’ve explored abundance as it relates to the principles in my book, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, beginning with the Law of Pure Potentiality and concluding today with the Law of Dharma.

When you’re living your true purpose in life, your dharma, abundance flows to you easily and effortlessly. As the popular saying goes, “Do what you love and the money will follow.” It is not only material wealth, but also satisfaction, confidence, optimism, joy, and abundance in all its forms that will follow you when you are living your true purpose in life.

Mindful Moment

Experience true happiness.

Pay attention to the spirit that resides inside you, focusing your attention on your heart center. Ask sincerely, “What does the world need from me?” Listen for the answers. Make a list of your unique talents and ask yourself how you can best use those gifts to serve the world.

 Chopra Center 21-Day Meditation Challenge™—

Creating Abundance.

A program to create abundance in your life. Every day you receive a link to a meditation and a thought for the day. Practice the meditation and ponder upon the thought for the day to be able to manifest abundance inn your day.

Day 11

Abundance and the Law of Least Effort

Today's Centering Thought:

“I expect and accept abundance to flow easily to me.”

Abundance and the Law of Least Effort

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:

Om Daksham Namah—My actions achieve maximal benefit with minimal effort.

“An integral being knows without going, sees without looking, and accomplishes without doing.”
~ Lao Tzu

In today’s meditation, we’ll explore the Law of Least Effort and how it can help us release our desires into the spiritual realm to create abundance in our lives.

When your actions are motivated by love, your energy multiplies and accumulates. Releasing that energy allows it to be redirected and used to create anything you want. When your internal reference point is your spirit, you can harness the power of love and use this energy creatively for the experience of affluence and evolution.

Mindful Moment

Experience the peace of acceptance.

Today, accept all people and circumstances in your life, exactly as they are. Take responsibility for your life without blaming yourself, knowing that everything is as it should be. Practice defenselessness and relinquish the need to convince or persuade others of your point of view.

Day 12

Abundance and the Law of Intention and Desire Today's Centering Thought:

“I place my intention into the vast ocean of all possibilities and allow the universe to work through me.”

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:
Om Ritam Namah—My actions and desires are supported by cosmic intelligence.

“In the universe there is an immeasurable, indescribable force which shaman call intent, and absolutely everything that exists in the entire cosmos is attached to intent by a connecting link.”
~ Carlos Castaneda

Attention energizes; intention transforms. In today’s meditation, we’ll explore this concept through the Law of Intention and Desire.

Whatever you want or need in your life, you can put the cosmic computer, with its infinite organizing power, to work for you by formulating an intention and planting the seed of that intention into the field of all possibilities. In this way, you’ll attract the right people, situations, and circumstances to help you manifest your dreams.

Mindful Moment

Empower your intention.

Ask yourself the question: What do I want? Then, visualize your intention. Write it down and glance at it before you enter your mediation. Release your intention to the womb of creation and relinquish your attachment to the outcome, believing in the exquisite, infinite organizing power of the universe.

Day 13

Abundance and the Law of Detachment

Today's Centering Thought:

“As I let go of the need to arrange my life, the universe brings abundant good to me.”

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:
Om Anandham Namah—My actions are blissfully free from attachment to outcome.
“We can only be said to be truly alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious
of our treasures.”
~ Thornton Wilder

Today, we’ll explore how, by relinquishing the desire to manifest a specific outcome, we allow the Law of Detachment to work in our lives.

Abundance appears in many forms and, as long as you commit to desires that benefit the world, all that you desire can be yours. My beloved friend and Co-Founder of the Chopra Center for Wellbeing, Dr. David Simon wrote, “The symbols of abundance—a bigger house, a new car, an ornate piece of jewelry—can bring waves of delight, but do not sacrifice the ocean for a few transient waves. Commit to a life overflowing with abundance of love, passion, creativity and meaning, and the symbols will chase after you.”

Mindful Moment

Trust in the uncertainty.

Detach from all expectation of outcome by allowing everyone and everything the freedom to be exactly as they are. Accept uncertainty and witness the solutions and opportunities that spontaneously spring from it. Then, step into the field of all possibilities, remaining open to its infinity of choices.

Reflection Questions
Which symbols of abundance do you desire?
How would they enhance your life, and the lives of others?
In what other ways can you envision this emotion of wellbeing in your life?

Day 13

Chopra Center 21-Day Meditation Challenge™—Creating Abundance.

A program to create abundance in your life. Every day you receive a link to a meditation and a thought for the day. Practice the meditation and ponder upon the thought for the day to be able to manifest abundance inn your day.

Day 1

The Reality of AbundanceToday's Centering Thought:“Today, I behold all the abundance that surrounds me.

The Field of All Possibilities

Today, we will delve into the field of all possibilities that reveals
itself in the silence of meditation. The unlimited power of
the universe is always available to you. Making intuitive choices,
grounded in this unified field, will help you manifest your deepest
desires.

When going about your daily life, continue to cultivate stillness
whenever possible. Spend time in nature, absorb its beauty,
and notice how its abundance is spread before you. Bask in the energy
of beautiful music; uplifting and inspirational stories; and optimistic,
like-minded people. As you do this, you’ll find the field of all
possibilities will open wide to help your dreams, hopes, and desires
come to fruition.

Mindful Moment
Awaken to unlimited possibilities.
Look at one situation you’d like to change. Allow yourself
to focus your thoughts on that one wish. Then, write down
one intention. Be as specific as you can.

When you go into meditation, look at this intention and let it go.
Surrender it to the field of all possibilities and
allow the universe to correlate the details.

Day 2

The Source of All Abundance
Today's Centering Thought:
“I create my personal abundance from an infinite source.”

Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 - Mind, Matter, and Spirit

Today, we will consider the three levels of existence—mind, matter, and spirit. Mind is the reasoning level that tells us that we can or cannot be, do, or have something. Matter is the physical world around us that shows us the results of what we hold in our minds. Spirit is the deepest domain, the place of our interconnectedness with the infinite mind of the universe. It is the field of pure potentiality.

Accessing the spiritual realm through the daily practice of meditation opens the way to manifesting your deepest desires. By changing your thoughts, beliefs, expectations, and intentions and connecting with stillness, you will allow the unbounded, unlimited abundance of the universe to flow easily and effortlessly into your life.

Our centering thought for today is:

"Today, I focus on what I want to attract into my life."
Today's Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:

Sat, Chit, Ananda

Existence, Consciousness, Bliss

Until we meet again in the spiritual realm,

Mindful Moment

Commit to the vision.
Take a moment to reflect on one situation in your life that you'd like to change, and write down the specific things about it that you wish were different. Then, write down how you would like that situation to be. Throughout your day, whenever you find yourself thinking of the circumstances as they are now, remind yourself of the new way you envision them. As you change your thoughts, you are harnessing nature's flow of energy, information, and intelligence to change your life.

Day 4

Today's Centering Thought:
“From this moment forward, I invite unlimited abundance into my life.”

Day 5
Pure Consciousness

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:

Aham Brahmasmi—The core of my being is the ultimate reality, the root and ground of the universe, the source of all that exists.

“All things that truly matter—beauty, love, creativity, joy, inner-peace—arise frombeyond the mind.”~ Eckhart Tolle

In our time together today, we will explore the concept of pure consciousness, that which reappears as we release the world of the physical, the world of thoughts, perceptions, beliefs, and feelings. We reach pure consciousness through the practice of meditation.

Once in a while, out of the fog of thoughts, a clear patch
will emerge. If we are quiet, we encounter moments of pure
silence. I call these thought “gaps” and, through these gaps,
we can glimpse the deepest level of the soul. Each
glimpse increases our understanding, and eventually our
consciousness becomes expanded. In this way, we transcend
the three-dimensional world and slip into pure consciousness.

Mindful Moment

Invite new choices.
Take a moment today to consider a
situation in which the thoughts and beliefs of others have
shaped your perception. Then, contemplate a new scenario
that reflects your highest vision of these circumstances. Ask
yourself: What have I been choosing in this situation?
What new choices can I make from this moment on that
will help me realize my new goals?

Day 5

The Field of All Possibilities

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:
Sat, Chit, Ananda—Existence, Consciousness, Bliss

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take
our breath away.”
~ Maya Angelou

Today, we will delve into the field of all possibilities that reveals itself in the silence of meditation. The unlimited power of the universe is always available to you. Making intuitive choices, grounded in this unified field, will help you manifest your deepest desires.

When going about your daily life, continue to cultivate stillness whenever possible. Spend time in nature, absorb its beauty, and notice how its abundance is spread before you. Bask in the energy of beautiful music; uplifting and inspirational stories; and optimistic, like-minded people. As you do this, you’ll find the field of all possibilities will open wide to help your dreams, hopes, and desires come to fruition.

Mindful Moment

Awaken to unlimited possibilities.

Look at one situation you’d like to change. Allow yourself to focus your thoughts on that one wish. Then, write down one intention. Be as specific as you can. When you go into meditation, look at this intention and let it go. Surrender it to the field of all possibilities and allow the universe to correlate the details.

Day 6

The Seeds of Success

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:
Ram . . . Ram . . . Ram—Everything I desire is within me

“As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world . . . as in being able to remake ourselves.”
~Mahatma Gandhi

Today, we will consider what success is and where it is found. It’s common to sometimes measure our success or fulfillment by comparing ourselves to others. This is called object-referral, looking outside for validation. It’s also common to overlook the opportunities for success that exist in our setbacks or failures. Through meditation, we learn that everything we want, need, and desire is already within us and that the seeds of success are within every perceived setback. Self-referral, looking within, is where true fulfillment resides.

In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Success: To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition, to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”

Mindful Moment

Discover the seeds.

Take a moment today to consider a situation that feels like a failure or a setback. From that perspective, try to identify opportunities that could put you on the path to success. Write down the steps you can take to make your vision a reality. You can apply this exercise to all areas of your life. Take the time to look at each situation that challenges you and find those seeds of success that will attract greater abundance into your life.

Day 7

Welcome to Day 7 - Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire

Our centering thought for today is:
"I use my conscious intention to manifest my dreams."

Today's Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:

Sat, Chit, Ananda

Existence, Consciousness, Bliss

I eagerly await all that you will manifest in your life.

Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:
Sat, Chit, Ananda—Existence, Consciousness, Bliss

“You can become blind by seeing each day as a similar one. Each day is a different one; each day brings a miracle of its own. It's just a matter of paying attention to this miracle.”
~ Paulo Coehlo

Congratulations on completing the first week of the Chopra Center 21-Day Meditation Challenge™, Creating Abundance! During our time together, we defined abundance as having all your needs, wants, and desires met; we also discovered that the source of all abundance is the unlimited divine source, underlying all creation. We discussed the three levels of consciousness—mind, matter, and spirit—and how spirit is the source of everything that is and where anything is possible. Just yesterday, we acknowledged that the seeds of success are within and always available to you.

Today, you will learn that when you align your thoughts, deeds, beliefs, and expectations with spirit, everything you have always wanted, needed, or desired flows freely to you.

Mindful Moment

Be led by your mind-body-spirit.

Take a moment to envision an everyday miracle you’d like to have happen in your life. Consider your circumstances as they are now and how you’d like them to be. Paying attention to your body, notice how you feel when you think about your current circumstances and when you focus on your dreams. Write down these feelings of comfort or discomfort, sadness, or joy. Your body is a wonderful tool to help align you with spirit. Noting how it feels helps you make creative choices that will bring you closer to what you desire.

Day 8

Abundance and the Law of Pure Potentiality

Today's Centering Thought:

“Through the Law of Pure Potentiality, I can create anything, anytime, anywhere.”

Abundance and the Law of Pure Potentiality

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:
Om Bhavam Namah—I am absolute existence. I am a field of all possibilities.

“We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? . . .
Your playing small does not serve the world.”
~ Marianne Williamson

With today’s meditation, we begin the second week of the Chopra Center 21-Day Meditation ChallengeTM, Creating Abundance. Throughout this week, we’ll explore abundance as it relates to the laws contained in my book, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success.

The power to create anything flows through us when we are connected to the moment, plugged into the deeper source from which all experience, knowledge, and existence emerge and to which they return. And, so, we’ll begin this week by discovering how we can put the first law, the Law of Pure Potentiality, into practice and create abundance by accessing this source, the field of all possibilities.

"It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love is put in the giving."
—Mother Teresa

Welcome to Day 9 - Abundance and the Law of Giving

In today's meditation, we will explore the Law of Giving.

The universe always works in dynamic exchange with your body, mind, and environment. In nature, giving and receiving, different aspects of the flow of energy in the universe, are what permit the continual bounty we enjoy. It is through this vital flow that everything you want and need can be yours.

As Buddha shared, "Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared."

Our centering thought for today is:

"Today, and everyday, I give that which I want to receive."

Today's Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:

Om Vardhanam Namah - I nourish the universe, and the universe nourishes me. I await our opportunity to share the gift of silence together.

Mindful Moment

Give graciously today.

Offer a small gift to everyone you encounter today. The gift needn't be expensive—a flower, a smile, a helping hand, or a silent blessing—and remain open to gratefully receiving all gifts that are offered to you.

Day 10

Abundance and the Law of Karma

Today’s Sanskrit mantra and its English essence are:
Om Kriyam Namah—My actions are aligned with cosmic law.
“Every thought you produce, anything you say, any action you do, it bears your signature.”
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

In today’s meditation, we will discuss the Law of Karma, or conscious choice-making, and consider how, through the choices we make, more of every good thing can flow into our lives.

When you make any choice—any choice at all—you can ask yourself what the consequences of the choice you’re making are and if it will bring happiness, or more abundance, to you and everyone around you. After posing those questions, place your attention in your heart, and the answers will become clear to you.

By practicing conscious choice-making in this way, you will learn to witness your thoughts and make the most nourishing decisions for your life.

Mindful Moment

Allow your heart to guide you.

Practice connecting with the heart for guidance in conscious choice-making. Each time you’re faced with a choice, place your attention in your heart and ask yourself: Will this choice bring fulfillment and happiness to me and to those who are affected by this choice? Then, make your decision based on the answer you receive.

My Paris

Thousands of people visit Paris every day and everyone has their own version of Paris. I have been there several times as well and have been sightseeing too. But what I called My Paris is the mosaic of images, events and things that make the full picture for me. And this Paris is different for everyone else.

Here I want to share a part of it - an amazing artist of the football. I thought he was one of the hundreds street magicians, clowns etc. - but he was different. What amazed me was the pleasure he was doing it - just for the people passing by - and the lovely shy smile with which he was shaking hands afterwards, saying Thank you to our thanks and to the money left in his hat.

It seemed like a miracle to me... I hope you'll be able to feel the magic of his performance we had the chance to catch. Enjoy!
